Terms and conditions

  • 1. Quotations
    • 1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days.
    • 1.2 Should any extra work be required due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be informed as soon as possible and this will be added to the invoice.
    • 1.3 Any deadlines affected by circumstances as mentioned in clause 1.2 will not be compensated; we cannot be held liable for delays due to circumstances beyond our control (weather).
    • 1.4 It is the your responsibility to arrange for the removal of waste if required (order & pay for a skip or waste collection) and therefore is not included in the quotation.

  • 2. Deposits
    • 2.1 All jobs over £500.00 require a deposit, the amount of which will be agreed by you and the Heating the Nation.
    • 2.2 The deposit must be paid when the order is placed and a start date is agreed. Deposits are non-refundable.

  • 3. Working Conditions and Working Time
    • 3.1 It is your responsibility to ensure working areas are well lit and clear from obstructions (pets and children) and access is provided to the working areas.
    • 3.2 Work will be carried out during normal working hours, 8PM to 6PM Monday - Friday subject to agreement between yourself and Heating the Nation.

  • 4. Powerflushing
    • 4.1 Powerflushing will be carried out with due care, but we will not be held liable for any leaks caused by the high pressure system – these damages will be charged as extras.
    • 4.2 Where it is found that a system works on a one-pipe circuit or microbore pipe work, we do not guarantee that Powerflushing will be successful.

  • 5. Servicing
    • 5.1 Any faulty components found during servicing will be replaced at an extra cost. We will discuss and agree this with you upon discovering the fault.
    • 5.2 Any upgrades that are required to bring your installation up to the current regulation standards and will be quoted for when the service is complete.

  • 6. Repairs
    • 6.1 Repair work will be carried out using as much manufacturer’s information as possible.
    • 6.2 Any upgrades that are required to bring your installation up to current regulation standards will need to be carried out promptly.

  • 7. Payment & Guarantees
    • 7.1 Full payment is due on completion of work.
    • 7.2 Cheques are made payable to Heating the Nation Ltd.
    • 7.3 Any guarantees do not include any third party work or damage carried out after the completion of work.
    • 7.4 Please note that guarantees &warranties are not insurance backed by manufactures.

  • 8. No Payment for Work Done
    • 8.1 Any payment not received within 7 days of completion of work is subject to charge of 7% per month and administration cost, unless otherwise agreed.
    • 8.2 All commercial clients are subject to 30 day payment terms, unless otherwise agreed, failure to adhere to these terms will result in a 10% per day additional charge
